Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones has achieved an awful lot for a man of only 52 years. There can be few people who start with so little and gain so much over a lifetime. Born in Jamaica, Wilfred moved to Birmingham when he was 3 years old. After a difficult time at secondary school, he joined the Army. After discovering that this wasn't to his suiting, they parted ways.

Having to start over again, what would follow was a mesmeric stage of events: from burger flipper to Producer/Director for the BBC, to owner of a Food Marketing company to buying a farm in Devon, launching The Black Farmer brand of meat products and the Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Chippenham in Wiltshire.

On top of this, in 2005, he started The Black Farmer Scholarship - giving inner - city kids the chance to live and work on and around his farm on the Devon/Cornwall border to give them the chance to explore the opportunities open to them in the countryside.

Trading under the provocative name, 'The Black Farmer' (Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones is one of possibly only two black farmers in the UK) he produces a delightful range of sausages, available throughout the country, including major supermarkets.
